Dance Styles - Which style do you prefer?
 Latin
A subset of the International Style of Ballroom Dancing, it includes the following five dances: Cha cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive. Notice that the last two dances are not in fact of Latin American origin.
Compared to typical ballroom dance, Latin dances are generally faster-paced, more sensual, and have more rhythmic expression.

 Salsa & Street Latin
The term Street Latin is used to describe a style of multiple dances (Salsa, Cha, Merengue, Cumbia) traditionally danced in clubs, bars and in streets of Latin America. Street Latin is the fastest growing style of dance in Australia and around the world. A dance style suited to any age group, salsa is fun, expressive and easy to learn. Street Latin has a huge following in Melbourne (Australia), singles and couples wanting a fun night out dancing can find somewhere to go just about every night of the week.

Hip hop / Funk / Urban / Contempory / Jazz
Hip Hop culture originated in New York amongst young Hispanic and African American communities during the late 1960's. Synonymous with rap, scratch music and graffiti art, the style encompasses the movements of break-dancing and body-popping, and has been internationally recognized since the 1970's.

Ballroom
Ballroom dancing is the ultimate in “partner” dancing where a man and a woman come together to dance as one.
The grace and elegance of Ballroom dance has been admired for decades and will continue to hold its popularity for generations. Ballroom is also known as “standard” in the dance industry and includes the following dance styles.
